Take me out tonight.

False honesty.
I've come to a conclusion about an truth about people: the more we know of each other's secrets, the more we hate each other. We can't stand what other people think, if it doesn't suit us. Why expect people to be honest with you or like you at all, when you are just the same yourself? We always keep what we really feel to ourselves, those feelings our own little secrets. Our social lives are depend on how well we manage to hide our true selves. We smile our faked little smiles, say those words we don't really mean, just to be nice, and we keep our mouths shut otherwise.
Why trying to be friends with people you don't like? What's the social gain in it? Social status? Another fake friend to pretend to like? If other people care more about your opinions of their friends than they care about you, they are worth nothing as firends. Why does it always have to be about status and acceptance in groups you really don't either like or want or need?

And what happens if they find out what you really feel? You get unpopular? Too bad for you, then. Why care at all about what people think of you? The sky won't fall if you lose someone who doesn't care about you at all in the first place. Let people think what they want of you as long as they are honest, and be honest with yourself as everyone else when it comes to your own thoughts.

All honesty is dead.
