Last night was amazing. My friend Martin called me and asked if I wanted to go to a party his girlfriend had been invited to, and we decided to meet in town. I had no idea what kind of party it was, Martin just said it was something arranged by a feminist collective. Later, it turns out he was very wrong...
So I ran to the train, got there just in time. Called Klara and asked if she wanted to join too, haven't seen her in over a week and I really really miss her. Unfortunately, she couldn't. Had to wait for Martin and Toveh, they were late. We were supposed to meet some of Toveh's friends there as well, but they never showed up, turns out they were in a bar waiting for some more people. Meanwhile, me, Martin and Toveh bought some ice cream to eat. I don't know where that idea came from, it was really cold last night.
When we finally met up with Toveh's friends, they were arguing with a drunk Polish nazi. That was probably the wierdest part of the whole evening. Anyway, we went to the subway to get to the party. There where lots of police officers on the subway for some reason, which led to some interesting discussions between them and us, most of us were/are anarcho-syndicalists or communists. Anyway, we got the the party and it turns out it was a birthday party, but "feminist collective" was pretty near the truth as well. The party was in an apartment where some girls lived, and most of the people there were syndicalists/communists, musicians or hippies.
The party was really nice, even though Martin and Toveh went home after an hour, around midnight. I wanted to stay, so I joined a gang playing music. We played until then sun went up, around 6-7 o'clock. It was a beautiful morning. There were people sleeping everywhere, but I decided to go home and sleep, so I left around 7 in the morning.
It was freezing outside, and it was so quiet. I was almost alone.
There is some kind of charm, a special feeling about being alone on the subway in the morning hours, freezing and trying to stay awake long enough to get home. I like that feeling. That is how being alive feels like.
All in all, it was a wonderful night. It was the first party for me in over a year. And I got to see the sunrise.
